My wife, Lois, will be back in the pulpit Sunday, August 3. She has accepted the position of pastor at Back Creek Friends Meeting.

Lois continues her tradition of pastoring historic churches. She was pastor for sixteen years at LaOtto Wesleyan Church which meets in the oldest church building still in use in the denomination and site of an underground railroad station. Back Creek Friends, established in 1829, is the oldest worship group in the county. (And speaking of old, Sunday we’ll also celebrate our 34th anniversary.)

Thanks for your prayers as Lois begins this new chapter in her ministry. (I’m sure she’ll have some “Thursday Thoughts” about it soon.)

And if you’re wondering, is a woman’s place in the pulpit, check out my women in ministry page.
