Indian school children mourn deaths in Mumbai terrorist attacks (Reuters)

Today, while Americans celebrate the Pilgrims sitting down with American Indians on the first Thanksgiving, Indians in Mumbai are mourning over 100 deaths, 300 injuries and numerous hostages in Wednesday’s terrorist attacks. The Associated Press reports terrorists targeted ten locations tied to India’s financial district and luxury hotels frequented by Westerners.

My thoughts and prayers are with the victims and their families.

But my thoughts and prayers extend beyond Mumbai to the hundreds more in India who have died in the past few months in coordinated attacks against Christians in the Hindu country. I blogged about this in a September 4 post. (And some thoughts from my visit in 2000 on others issues facing all the people of India.)

As you give thanks today, please say a prayer for Christian brothers and sisters in India.
